Berto Tukan is a writer and independent researcher who lives in Jakarta. His short story collection, ”Seikat Kisah Tentang yang Bohong” was published in 2016 and his poetry collection, ”Sudah Lama Tidak Bercinta Ketika Bercinta Tidak Lama” in 2018. Apart from short story and poetry, Berto also writes a number of essays in various print and online media, and spends some time in many art researches. He is now active as a subject coordinator at Gudskul: Contemporary Collective Study and Art Ecosystem.
JILF is an annual international literary festival initiated by the Literary Committee of Jakarta Arts Council (JAC). Just as JAC was built and nurtured by artists and for arts, JILF was founded by writers for the sake of literature and book industry.
