Raisa Kamila was born and raised in Banda Aceh. Following her graduation from the Faculty of Philosophy, Universitas Gadjah mada, she pursued a Master’s degree in Colonial and Global History at Leiden University through ENCOMPASS-Cosmopolis scholarship in 2015. With Perkawanan Perempuan Penulis, Raisa published “Tank Merah Muda: Cerita-Cerita yang Tercecer dari Reformasi” (2019) with support from Cipta Media Ekspresi. Her short story collection was published by Buku Mojok in 2020. She currently resides in Bandung where she works as an editor for Pustaka Pias.
JILF is an annual international literary festival initiated by the Literary Committee of Jakarta Arts Council (JAC). Just as JAC was built and nurtured by artists and for arts, JILF was founded by writers for the sake of literature and book industry.
