Reading Night #4

Aan Mansyur
Aan Mansyur is a poet, a writer, a literacy activist, a community leader, and a tireless reader who will share his thoughts on what it takes for us to start reading each other’s works.

Momtaza Mehri
As a poet, Mehri was chosen as Young People’s Laureate for London in 2018. As an essayist, her astute works have been published in Granta, on Sri Lankan rapper M.I.A., and in San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s Open Space, on the release of Marvel’s Black Panther.

Intan Paramaditha
“Despite Indonesia’s enormous size and its diverse cultural traditions and experimentations, only a handful of Indonesian books have been translated into English. Indonesia in general is largely underrepresented, or in other words, excluded from the global lists,” Intan Paramaditha wrote in her essay for Lit Hub. Her incisive (and necessary) interrogation on inclusion, exclusion, and the inequality that comes from such practice in literature will be one of the many highlights on the festival. Intan Paramaditha will appear on our symposium panel on Southern common theme dilemma.

Legodile Seganabeng
A recorded poet, a spoken word performer, as well as a high school teacher. Catch the performances of the man also known as Dredd X on our talk show panel and reading nights!.
